Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar - Srinagar to Sonamarg

Upon arrival at the Srinagar airport, drive to Srinagar and keep your luggage in the car. Enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, followed by lunch at a houseboat. Later, drive to Sonamarg. Arrive in Sonamarg, known as the “Meadow of Gold,” situated at a height of 2,690 meters. You may take a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier, where snow remains year-round. Overnight stay at a hotel in Sonamarg.

Day 2: Sonamarg to Kargil

After breakfast, begin your drive from Sonamarg to Kargil. En route, visit Zojila Pass (11,575 feet) and Darass Village. Have lunch on the way in Kargil. After lunch, visit Garkong Village and return to Kargil for an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 3: Kargil to Padum via Sangkoo, Panikhar, Parkachik, and Rangdum

Start early with breakfast, preferably packed from the hotel, and drive from Kargil to Padum in Zanskar. The drive takes about 7-9 hours. On the way, visit Rangdum Monastery. Arrive at Padum for an overnight stay at Hotel Potala.

Day 4: Explore Zongkhul and Sani Monasteries

After breakfast, explore the area around Padum. Visit Zongkhul Monastery and Sani Monastery, a Drukpa Kagyu monastery considered one of the oldest religious sites in Ladakh. Sani is dedicated to Padmasambhava, who is said to have meditated at the site. The adjoining temple is dedicated to Naropa. The tour will take about 4-5 hours. Overnight stay at Hotel Potala in Padum.

Day 5: Padum to Leh via Singyela Pass and Lingshed Monastery

After breakfast, drive to Leh, which takes about 8-10 hours. On the way, enjoy the magnificent views of the Zanskar River, and visit Lingshed Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries of the Gelugpa Sect of Buddhism. Cross the Singyela Pass (5,150 meters), the highest pass on this route. Pass through the village of Photoksar, a beautiful traditional village. Arrive in Leh for an overnight stay at Hotel Zemkhang in Alchi.

Day 6: Alchi to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La Pass

After breakfast, visit Alchi Monastery and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Then, drive to Nubra Valley, crossing the Khardung-La Pass, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 feet. Nubra Valley is located between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Visit Diskit Monastery and the sand dunes for an optional camel safari. Check-in at the resort in Nubra Valley for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok (New Route)

Spend the morning exploring the beauty of Pangong Lake. Later, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass, the second highest pass. En route, visit Thiksay Monastery and Shey Palace. Upon arrival in Leh, spend time shopping in the local market. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

Day 8: Pangong Lake to Leh via Changla Pass

Breakfast at hotel after which assistance & transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi.

Day 9: Depart Leh (Fly Out)
